I'm going to level with you: I was thinking of leaving Staffrm. Then I woke up and decided to see if I could leave 100 comments before writing my 100th story. Go to this Storify storify.com/davidErogers/staff... to follow the links to each story.
To be honest, I probably miscounted, but what I learned was:
// there are many common themes and similar stories. I like this because there are always different perspectives that stories bring.
\\ it may be my imagination, but sometimes it seems like some people like jumping on bandwagons.
// there are some strong movements here, I just hope that they are self aware enough to realise their unseen impact, both positive and negative .
\\ Staffrm contains a real useful mix of practical tips and thought peices. All good!
// double space doesn't work on Staffrm
\\ there are some great comments, and those that are rubbish. The whole exercise has told me that, just like young people or teachers, unspecific praise just doesn't cut it.
// there isn't a lot of challenge. Personally, if I challenge something, it's because the story has really made me think hard and I want to continue the conversation. Sometimes, it's ok though just to say 'great story' ?
Anyway, thank you all for making the #100b4100 challenge a complete pleasure : it really made me read and think about stories. I can also get back to bombarding you all with meaningless drivel.
So, next time you read something good, leave a comment.
